• Program Costs are out of pocket but fully reimbursed by the Government. The first course you submit will take approx. 1 month to get reimbursed. The following courses will take 2-3 weeks from our experience but may take longer because it is the government.

OUT-OF-POCKET EXPENSES

• Flight to Bali (fully reimbursed after completion of Instructor Course)
   

• Food and Entertainment. 
  Food Costs can vary depending on your choices. You can spend as little as $7 per day and up to $28/day. Any alcohol is not included in this estimate. For reference one 12oz beer is $2.20.
   

• Scooter Rental 
  You can walk most of Amed but a scooter is the best option. Prices vary depending on day rate vs. Monthly rate and type of scooter. Maximum cost would be $94.08/month for an NMax Scooter. Gas will cost you $1.57/liter. For reference, two liters typically lasts us a week and a half unless we travel outside of Amed. 
   

• Dive Gear
  As you move up towards the professional levels, divemaster and instructor, you will want your own dive gear. Prana Dive will have packages specially priced for veterans in this program. There will be two options available based on the gear selected. We will go over these options with you as part of the program orientation. 
   

• Any fun dives where Prana Dive does not have guests and is outside of your course. Cost for two dives in a day is $62.72. Anytime Prana has booked guests and you are not actively in a course, you are free to go along at no cost to you. 

• Homestay
  Should you choose to, you can move out of Teratai to a furnished homestay. Costs for a simple one room (like a studio) with Bali style kitchen is around  $220/month plus electricity. Electric costs depend on how much you run the aircon. A decent budget for that is $30/month. We can assist with finding you one once you have established yourself here. You can also find them listed on the Amed Bali Community Facebook group which is a great resource for anyone living or staying in Amed.
  
  
  Maximum monthly costs staying outside of Teratai with a scooter less alcoholic beverages is approximately $1185. Without a scooter it is $1090
  
  Average monthly costs staying at Teratai with a scooter less alcoholic beverages is approximately $600. Without a scooter it is $510.
